Munson Healthcare has a New Centralized Patient Transfer and Placement Center

All 8 MHC hospitals use a centralized MHC Patient Transfer and Placement Center. Cadillac Hospital, Charlevoix Hospital, Grayling Hospital, Kalkaska Memorial Health Center, Manistee Hospital, Munson Medical Center, Otsego Memorial Hospital, and Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital.

• How to Transfer a Patient (In and Out):
  • Call 231-392-0777.
  • Community Access Portal for non-emergent transfers or to request a consult: MHC Emergency Department providers can use the online Community Access Portal (CAP) to initiate a non-emergent transfer or consult, which can be a faster alternative to calling. 

The MHC Patient Transfer and Placement Center team is physically located at the Copper Ridge office in Traverse City.
